Terms & Conditions

Application
The application form must be fully completed by the parent and student and signed before being processed.
All applications must include a recent photo.
The mandatory pages for application are highlighted on the form.
The agreement in the application form is made under British law which must be read and signed.

Invoicing
All invoices are in British Pounds (GBP).
All payments must cater for bank charges and exchange rates.
In the event of short payment due to transaction charges, only the net amount will be credited to your account.
Payment must be settled before arriving in the UK.

Transport & Visits
All transport, organised by PJL Global Students Ltd is with PJL Global drivers and is charged at cost.

Private School Students
Any change of family accommodation requests must be notified to your Local Guardian immediately,
Charges are made for cancellations as below.
Up to 7 days before arrival 25% of total charge of period.
Up to 96 hours before arrival, 50% of total charge of period.
Up to 72 hours before arrival, 75% of total charge of period.
Less than 72 hours before arrival, 100% of the total charge.

PJL Global policy for students travelling to the UK.
Students under the age of 16 are not allowed to travel out of area alone even though they may have their parents’ permission.
If students under 16 wish to travel out of area, they must be accompanied by an adult (25 years+). On a day trip they must return at an appropriate time set by the Local Guardian.
Out of area is defined as out of Eastbourne.
If a student is over the age of 16 and wishes to go out of area, they may do so but we will need written permission from agents/parents. This would only be applicable to a day trip and not an overnight stay unless accompanied by an adult (25 years+).
Students under the age of 16 may not travel in and around London unless accompanied by an adult (25 years+).

A student must be prepared and capable, both physically and mentally, for a prolonged stay in a different country away from their family and friends.
All students must have an appropriate level of English for their course. Our English Schools and Private Schools will do tests before or first when they enter the school.

Group Booking and Summer Programmes

All cancellations must be in writing, email is acceptable. If a booking has been made and the student or group decides to cancel then there will be a 50% refund up to the day of arrival. If any student decides that he or she wishes to return home during the programme due for example being homesick or a similar issue then there will be no refund. Likewise if a student is sent home due to dangerous activity and bad behaviour then again there will be no refund and any addition cost will be invoiced.

Force Majeure

PJL Global Ltd is not liable for failure to perform their obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, pandemics or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service. No refunds will be made in the event that Force Majeure applies.

Promotional Videos, Photographs and Publicity 

Students agree that PJL Global Ltd may take photographs or videos of students during their time with us and also mention their achievements and that these may be used for promotional purposes only by PJL Global Ltd without specific prior consent or notification. However, if the student does not wish to appear in any promotional materials, please notify us at the time of booking.

Finance

If at any point we have not received payment then our services are withdrawn until funds have been received.
Guardianship services will not commence until full payment is received.

Withdrawal
A clear term’s notice of withdrawal from our guardianship must be given or a term’s fee paid in lleu.

Insurance
PJL Global Students Ltd do not include travel insurance in any of their programmes.
We strongly recommend that parents of students take out policies of this nature in your home country.

Please Note: A student may be expelled from the guardianship or the one of our Programme for serious or continuous misconduct, particularly where such behaviour prejudices the safety or progress of other students or brings the programme or the school into disrepute. Any false information given or relevant information withheld can invalidate the agreement between PJL Global Students and the parents.
