Phil Langridge Founder of PJL Global Students

About six years ago I realised that we could make a real difference to International Students lives when they either come to study to learn English for a short period of time or come to the UK to study at a school for a number of years.

For a young student to come from another country to the UK not knowing anyone is quite daunting but also an exciting experience, and this is why we do what we do. We want to make our students welcome so they feel happy and have a great fun experience while learning the English Culture and Language so when they return home to their own countries they can say how great their experience was and recommend for their friends to come to the UK.

I am married to Nympha who is originally from the Philippines, we met a few years ago in Hong Kong while I was on business and she was working there. Between us we have two children, John who is now at Queen Mary’s University in London Studying Politics and International Relation and we have Ayesha who is still at secondary school and lives with us.

Nympha and I enjoy having our students stay and they come from all over the world, currently we have student from China, Hong Kong, India, Nigeria, Russia and Germany.

We are unlike other Guardians as we offer all services and they become part of our family as our students stay with us and not host families. We arrange transport to airports with either me or one of our licensed and trusted drivers.

The students have high speed wifi at our home and Nympha cooks Asian food with some fantastic Filipino and Chinese dishes, I also cook and serve mostly splendid European dishes which our students all enjoy!

Sean has been working with us for a while now, but Phil has known Sean for over 30 years. He is a family man and has two daughters of his own, he takes care of our students like he does his own daughters and takes pride in the job he does for us.

John,

Entertainment Guru

John is Phil’s son and always helps and guides our students on the Xbox, Apple Products, Play Station to name a few. Even if a student is the only one that wants to play on the Xbox John will always help them and even give them a challenge normally on Fifa when he is home from University.
